Emergency supplies= band aids, water, canned food, glue sticks and wiggle eyes

Hi friends! Here on the East Coast, we’re expecting a visitor. Tropical storm Arthur is coming to call, ready or not! I’ve got plenty of crafting supplies, a cupboard full of board games and enough food to feed an army…or maybe just a few hungry Seabees. That’s how we roll. Anyhoo…I’ve been making some cute felt flowers lately and the kids have expressed a desire to make some things too. The boys aren’t much into sunflowers and roses so what to do? Miniatures! Bugs, food, vehicles, you name it! Felt is a great medium for making “fun” 🙂 I found these felt food tutorials and think we may give them a try if the weather holds us hostage this weekend.

If the fellas decide to make some felt food, I’ll take pics and post them. I’m sure we will maybe I can convince them to make me some felt bacon. Then I can make a headband and pretend to be Breakfast Princess from Adventure time 😀

If you’re in the warning areas for Arthur, a word of advice: don’t go to the WalMart. If the h-word is even whispered, Wally World becomes a madhouse of confused and sunburned tourists and ruthless locals. Just go to the Farm Fresh. You’ll pay more but you (probably) won’t lose any teeth or be run over by a Winnebago. Stay safe and take care of each other!
